Our fully trained Care Navigators are your first point of contact with the practice, either in person or over the telephone. They have access to a “signposting” tool to ensure that our patients receive the most appropriate appointment or are directed to the most appropriate service. Because of this, they will sometimes ask for some brief information on your current needs, particularly in urgent situations. Please help them by explaining your needs if asked to do so. They can also provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query.
Jen McCabe is our Navigator Lead who oversees and supports the reception team. She is also the first point of contact for any complaints regarding appointments.
Our administration team comprises of Secretaries, Workflow Administrators and Care Co-Ordinators. They deal with a wide range of duties to enhance our patients care. Their work includes tpying and sending referrals, pathology results administration, recalls, care homes and processing letters.

Community nurses play a crucial role in caring for some of the most vulnerable people in our communities: housebound patients who have a long-term health condition and/or are frail elderly who are registered with a local GP.
As well as providing direct patient care, community nurses also work with patients to enable them to care for themselves or with family members teaching them how to give care to their relatives.

Health visitors are registered nurses/midwives who have additional training in community public health nursing. They provide a professional public health service based on best evidence of what works for individuals, families, groups and communities; enhancing health and reducing health inequalities through a proactive, universal service for all children 0-5 years and for vulnerable populations targeted according to need. Health visiting is a proactive, universal service that provides a platform from which to reach out to individuals and vulnerable groups, taking into account their different dynamics and needs, and reducing inequalities in health.
